From Baseball Dreams to Life's Challenges: A Deep Dive with Dan Moro
Show Notes

Let me introduce you to Dan Moro, a man whose life story is as eclectic as his music playlist. From a nonchalant attitude towards music in his early years, to now, where each song on his playlist holds a profound connection to a phase in his life. A particular favorite of his, 'New Orleans is Sinking' by The Tragically Hip, weaves an intriguing tale of how it became his anthem during a summer baseball league in Saskatchewan.

Our friendly banter with Dan doesn't end there. He opens up about his love for sharks – a creature he admires for its unique combination of strength, speed, and size. He talks about his high school days, when he was the voice of reason amongst his friends, and shares his aspirations and trials of going professional in baseball. His candid account of dealing with visa issues offers a unique insight into the struggles athletes face off the field.

The episode takes a heartfelt turn when Dan recounts his proposal to his wife and the subsequent hurdles they faced with the K1 visa process, thanks to COVID-19. He lets us into his world of electronic dance music and his dream yacht party. The most inspiring part of his story, however, is his mother's resilience during her battle with ALS and the lasting message she left behind. As we wrap up, Dan leaves us with a powerful piece of advice – find a reason to smile every day and always remember it could be worse. Tune in for an episode that'll leave you smiling, teary-eyed, and thoroughly inspired.
